I was There....!!!!

Well, memang tak terlambat lagi utk aku post pasal ni. Sabtu lepas (dari 8.30pm - 9.30pm), satu KL bergelap bersempena dengan Earh Hour, bukan KL je tapi beberapa lagi bandar2 di Malaysia (and also other cities in the World). Aku agak berbangga sebab Malaysia participate dalam event ni. Walaupun untuk satu jam, bumi kita dapat berehat buat seketika dari pelepasan greenhouse gases (maybe not much but still...) Aku turut berada di perkarangan KLCC (depan fountain) menyaksikan twin tower bergelap. Bukan senang nak tengok KLCC gelap ni..... Ramai gile manusia kat taman KLCC and lepas KLCC gelap sepenuhnya, semua yang kat situ bertepuk tangan dan bersorak (termasuklah aku). Then, lepas 15 min aku berkampung kat luar tu, aku ngan Dayah pun masuk dalam Suria, jalan-jalan cuci mata. Kebanyakan kedai dalam Suria pun sokong Earth Hour; mostly turut tutup lampu. Rasa macam dah jam 11 lebih, padahal x kul 9 lagi.

But then, yang sedihnya, ada gak orang bandar yang tak concern dengan Earth Hour. Kawan kepada member aku, tanya kenapa nak kena tutup lampu. Aduh, sedih tul. Kemain tv ngan radio dok berkempem. Well, samada orang tu ingorant atau dia terlalu sibuk sampai tak ade masa nak ambil tahu pasal ni.....Hmmm...

BTW, after that, me and Dayah went for a movie. Tengok cite CONFESSION OF SHOPAHOLIC...!!!! Best gile cite ni.... AKu bagi 4 star....Hehehhehe....... Berbaloi ah tengok movie ni.... Sepanjang masa terhibur . Apapun, movie ni memang patut ditonton oleh suma yg bace buku tu and also yang suka genre romantic-comedy. Sesuai ditonton oleh suma lapisan masyarakat.... Sesapa yang ade penyakit shopaholic, memang patut tgk cite ni.

In class....

There are so many things that I need to do. My assignments need to be submit early April. The list of my assignments:
- legal issues of forest management in Malaysia
- adaptation of flora & fauna in mangrove forest
- ecology of ex-mining pond
- ISO documentation
- impact of waste management to water quality of Johor river
- policy paper on human population.

Just thinking about these making me dizzy. Now, I'm at class (Environment: theory, system & concept). Now we're taking 30 min break. Before break, we were discussing the loss and extincting of biodiversity. After break, i think we are going to discuss on the carrying capacity and environmental problem. It's quite interesting class because we were discussing the timeline and global awareness of the environmental problem. Class will be finish at 9 pm and I'm going back by lrt. Another tiring day for me.

Today - 20th March

I called my sister this morning and received a very shocking and funny news. Apparently, my aunt told my mum that I had changed my job. My mum had no idea about that all (so do I...) and she was a bit angry because she knew it from other people (even it was completely not true). I told my sister that I still working at the same place and same office. Me and my sister just laughed about it. Seemed like my aunt had the ability to predict the future....!!!

Today, me and aishah had lunch at Secret Recepi at Ampang Point. I had grilled black pepper chicken and aishah had bolognese spaghetti. For dessert, I eat guava fruit from stall next to my office building (I'm eating guava as i'm writing this post).

This evening, I have a replacement class for environmental law subject. Like always, class will start at 6.15 pm till 9 pm, we'll have break for about 20 min for Maghrib prayers. Hopefully the class will end a bit early......

Global warming

Scientists have warned us this week that the global sea level looks set to rise far higher than forecast because of changes in the polar ice-sheets. We need strong leaders that will pull together to avert the threat of runaway climate change within our lifetimes. I am calling on you, as a global citizen who has the power to prevent the worst impacts of climate change, to provide the funding required to tackle climate change in developing countries.

We ask that you support a new funding mechanism and propose concrete public financial support for climate action at next week’s EU Summit in Brussels, instead of promises of investments from the private sector, which you can neither predict nor control. Developing countries need at least EUR 110 billion a year by 2020 from rich countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change. The European Union needs to pay EUR 35 billion, which is its fair share, based on its responsibility for climate change and its ability to pay. You speak of solidarity. We trust you recognise that the time has come to show its solidarity with countries around the globe who must pull together to avert the climate crisis. If you let us down next week, you will undermine progress towards the new international agreement on climate protection in Copenhagen in December. If that fails it will cost us the Earth.

13th - 15th March 2009

13th March 2009
Actually Prof Azarae nak briefing dulu kat sini tapi ade miscommunication between driver so kami terpaksa bergegas ke Genting. On the way ke Genting (guna jalan lama yang nak ke Bentong), kami stop beberapa kali untuk kenalpasti jenis hutan di kawasan tanah tinggi. Last stop kat Gunung Batang Kali (lagi atas dari Genting Theme Park). Memang sejuk kat kawasan ni. View dari atas gunung ni memang best. Sebab nak kejar masa kami stop kejap je. Dah la jalan cam naik roller coaster. Pening + loya tapi mcm biasa aku tetap akan tertidur dalan van tu. Sampai kat station UM dlm 6 lebih (rasanya lah). Kami semua akan bermalam kat station UM tu bersama beberapa orang student dari Jepun.

Nightlife : Lepas dah mandi (air sejuk gile) ngan makan (dinner ala2 western - KFC), kami ada lecture dari jam 9pm sampai 12 pm. Badan penat, minda pun dah x bape nak berfungsi. Tapi keep-on going je sampai lecture habis.

Sleep time : Malam kat kawasan ni agak sejuk (maklumlah dalam hutan....) maybe dalam 21-22 degree Celcius. Aku memang tak bawak selimut, nasib baik ade stokin ngan sweater. Tapi sejuk yang amat sampai tido tak lena. Badan sentiasa menggigil kesejukan. Huhuhu..... (Resultnya pening kepala keesokan harinya)

14th March 2009
Morning - Gerak dari UM station, singgah for breakfast at gombak in about half an hour. Then continued to Perak.

Noon - 5.30 pm : Sampai kt Malim Nawar, survey a few mining pond. Ade gak ex-minig pond yang dijadikan tempat ternak itik. After lunch, Prof panggil one by one to identify 3 species. Huhuhu...Aku berjaya mengenalpasti 2 species betul & 1 salah. At least aku kenal gak la species burung2 walaupun beberapa jenis je....

On the way back to KL: Berlaku percanggahan pendapat bile prof tanye sape yg nk stay kt gombak or trus blik umah. Aku, of coz la nk blik umah. Rasenye majority nk blik umah hari tu. But then, one particular person yg nk stay kt gombak. So, this person (we were wondering how this person manage to persuade prof) did get her way. Really pissed me off....!!! As a result, we all stayed at UM station for another night.

Nightlife (as if) : sampai kat UM station pon dah jam 8 lebih. Time tu, kami memang ingat dh xde class but then the bad news arrived. Class tetap ade.....huhuhuhu.... Ngan muka penat & instant maggi cup, aku masuk dalam klas. Nasib baik klas sejam je.... Abih klas, sambung makan and borak2 psal mcm2. Lps tu suma masuk tido. I slept just like the night before, restlessly....

15th March 2009
Bangun agak awal, then terus gi mandi (sejuk air nye...huhuhuhu). Happy sbb blik umah ari ni.... Kemas beg & ape yg patut. Kami suma breakfast kt Gombak (aku makan roti canai ngan teh o ais). Aku turun kt lrt Bangsar, naik lrt ke Setiawangsa. Sampai Setiawangsa, amik teksi ke Intan aprtment. Sampai umah dlm kul 10 lebih. Home sweet home...!!!! Kat umah, kemas barang sket2, pastu terus tido smpai ke petang. Ni mmg penat gile ni. Hehehehe....

Berakhir gak trip yg memenatkan ni.

Earth Hour

This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness. In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday. We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.

VOTE EARTH by simply switching off your lights for one hour, and join the world for Earth Hour.Saturday, March 28, 8:30-9:30pm.

How to Deal With Unrequited Love

Being in love with somebody who doesn't love you can be a heartbreaking experience. Follow these steps to move past the pain and get on with your life.

Step 1:
Accept the fact that he/she doesn't feel the same way about you. If you continue to believe that there is a chance he/she will eventually love you, you will never move on.

Step 2:
Understand the reasons why he/she doesn't feel the same way. Understanding the reasons for the unrequited love will help you to move past the situation and get over him/her.

Step 3:
Stay positive. Don't let this situation cause you to have bitter feelings toward finding someone who loves you. It will lead you toward becoming a bitter and unhappy person.

Step 4:
Get your mind off of him/her. Spend more time with friends and family, and surround yourself with those who love and care about you.

Step 5:
Keep busy. Throw yourself into your work or hobbies. If you don't have any hobbies there are plenty to choose from so it won't be difficult finding one.

Step 6:
Focus on your future. Nobody has ever moved forward by constantly looking back. Focusing on your future will make you take your focus off him/her.

Step 7:
Remind yourself of your good qualities. Just because one person does not love you does not mean you are not a good person. Remind yourself of that as often as necessary.

Step 8:
Go out on dates. It may be difficult at first because your heart may still belong to him/her but the worst that could happen is that you meet someone you like to hang out with. You never know, you may meet someone you really like that feels the same way about you.

Step 9:
Appreciate yourself. Realize that you don't need anyone to validate you and that you are still the wonderful person you were before the breakup. Remind yourself that most relationships don't work out and that your breakup isn't unusual. Work on gaining independence so that you can be just as happy alone as when you're in a relationship. That will make you more attractive.

Step 10:
If you've been left before, think of how you overcame that pain. You did it once, you can do it again.

Step 11:
Don't feed the monster. After a week or two of grief, stop yourself from indulging conversations about your lost love or from obtaining information about them. In time, your grief will fade on its own, provided you let it.

Step 12:
Ask yourself, "Why would I want to be with anyone who doesn't love me back?" You deserve better. You may discover you are repeating a pathology from your childhood, clinging to someone who doesn't appreciate you in an effort to win the approval you could not get from your parents. Seek professional help to dig deeper if you suspect this is true.

On Saturday, me and my classmate went to Perak for bird watching at Taman Alam Kinta (ex-mining pond). Though, I got one wrong but it now I'm cristal clear...!!!). I will post the details of the trip some other time.....

Why do we read Al-Quran

Why do we read Quran, even if we can't understand a single Arabic word? This is beautiful story, please read till end and forward to all you knows...

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Qur'an. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could.

One day the grandson asked, "Grandpa! I try to read the Qur'an just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur'an do?" The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, "Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water." The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, "You'll have to move a little faster next time," He sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead. The old man said,"I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough," He went out the door to watch the boy try again.

At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would Leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty.Out of breath, he said, "See Grandpa, it's useless!" "So you think it is useless?" The old man said,"Look at the basket." The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out."Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an.

You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and outside. That is the work of Allah in our lives.

"Moral of the story : Read Al-Quran frequently as it will purify our heart. When we have pure heart, it is easy to do righteous and leave jahiliyah and badness in ourselves.

Suka atau cinta

I'd received an e-mail from my friend yesterday. I just want to share the content of that email....

Renung2kanlah.......

Last Night

Well, last night presentation was suck....!!! I was frustrated and also a bit pissed off by one particular member (Mr C) in my group. We didn't hv enough data so we just went through with what we hv but it backfired at us. My group was the last group to present and Prof. was already in bad mood coz in average all groups' presentation didn't go well. We only hv 15 min to make presentation and Mr C used most of the time for his part. Just when I got started, time's up so no mark for that part. I spoke quite fast and stumbled over my own word. When I think about it, time's up already, no need for me to race to finish the slide. Huhuhuhu.......silly me. We hv about a month until final presentation and tonnes of work need to be done.

Tired

I'm struggling very hard right now. Juggling between two important things made me exhausted. As a matter of fact, ever since last January, I'd been sick (fever) quite frequently. I'm so tired that sometimes I can't sleep at all and sometime I sleep so soundly without having any dreams at all. I always sleep late because I need to sort things out for the next class and also need to finish my assignments and need to get up early to go work. Next weekend, I have 3days 2 nite trip to forrest in Hulu Selangor, Genting Highland-Gombak and Tasik Bera, Pahang. Can't imagine how tired I'm going to be........

Still, I need to focus and concentrate because this is important and I did sign up for this so I must be strong.

Tell-tale Signs that It’s Love, Love, Love

You’ve got butterflies, good conversation, maybe even great sex, but sometimes it can be difficult to be sure if it’s love. How do you decipher whether the feeling in the pit of your stomach is the nervous quivering of anticipation or yesterday's lunch? Luckily, Lovingyou.com knows that “fools in love” are easy to spot. Here are some tell-tale signs that it just be might be love, love, love.

You are best friends. You laugh with them more than anyone else. The feelings of anticipation, passion, and connection are mutual. You remember little things about each other like their favorite foods, the places they want to visit and why, their views on everything from politics to fashion, and what they love about their closest buddies, but is it enough? Take a look at these signs to be sure.

What he’ll do:
Put you on his “A” list (pay attention -- You'll know if you're not on it)
Introduce you to his family
Make plans for the future (near and far)
Do things outside of his “box” with you
Share his secrets and his dreams for the future with you
Worry about impressing your friends
Come right over when you ask him to
Try to do things that comfort you or relieve some of your stress (like surprise you with dinner on a night you are working, rub your feet, or ask about your day)
Appreciate and reciprocate your feelings and your actions like giving you a massage after he gets one from you, doing the dishes after dinner, or sending you a gift

What she’ll do:
Share her embarrassing moments and fantasies with you
Little things all throughout the day that let you know she’s thinking about you
Fantasize about her life with you, getting married, having kids, growing old, traveling the world, etc.
Tease you
Hang out with your mother or talk to her on the phone
Appreciate and reciprocate your feelings and your actions, like offering to pay for dinner, getting tickets to a game or event she knows you’ll love, or cooking for you
Ask questions about your life -- past, present, and future
Flirt with you

How you’ll feel:
Excited, yet relaxed
Vulnerable, yet strong
Comfortable enough to be yourself in front of them
Like you want to include them in everything (but you won't desert your usual crowd to be in a relationship with them)
You’ll miss them when they’re not around
You can’t wait to see them, talk to them, play with them, and kiss them
You’ll find yourself wanting to make plans to have them all to yourself
You’ll have urges to do romantic things (maybe on the verge of stalker-like things) that you never thought you’d never do

Signs that it’s not love:
They blow you off or cancel dates
Talking about commitment makes either of you uneasy or nervous
Either of you are seeing other people
Things are moving too quickly for one of you
You find your partner lacking when compared to other people
You watch a love scene in a movie or hear a love song and you feel a strong longing or desire for what you don’t have

Tips before you commit:
Take the time to compare who you have with who you know deep down that you desire and deserve. Likewise, compare the relationship you have with the one you know you really want.
Pay attention to how they treat their friends, family, business associates, and strangers. This is a good indication of how they will treat you over time and a big insight into their overall character.
Ask yourself how well you know them and how well they know you.

A Silent Love

While surfing the net, i found this very interesting love story. A very touching story and i cried in the end (silently). If all men can be this faithfull and accept someone unconditionally.........This short story called 'A Silent Love'. Alongside with my fave song, Love Story by Taylor Swift.

A Silent Love

From the very Begining, the girl's family objected strongly on her dating this guy. Saying that it has got to do with family background & that the girl will have to suffer for the rest of her life if she were to be with him.Due to family's pressure, the couple quarrel very often. Though the girl love the guy deeply, but she always ask him: "How deep is your love for me?"As the guy is not good with his words, this often cause the girl to be very upset. With that & the family's pressure, the girl often vent her anger on him. As for him, he only endure it in silence.

After a couple of years, the guy finally graduated & decided to further his studies in overseas. Before leaving, he proposed to the girl: "I'm not very good with words. But all I know is that I love you. If you allow me, I will take care of you for the rest of my life. As for your family, I'll try my best to talk them round. Will you marry me?"The girl agreed, & with the guy's determination, the family finally gave in & agreed to let them get married. So before he leave, they got engaged. The girl went out to the working society, whereas the guy was overseas, continuing his studies. They sent their love through emails & phone calls. Though it's hard, but both never thought of giving up.

One day, while the girl was on her way to work, she was knocked down by a car that lost control. When she woke up, she saw her parents beside her bed. She realised that she was badly injured. Seeing her mum crying, she wanted to comfort her. But she realized that all that could come out of her mouth was just a sigh. She has lost her voice......The doctors says that the impact on her brain has caused her to lose her voice. Listening to her parents' comfort, but with nothing coming out from her, she broke down.During the stay in hospital, besides silence cry,.....it's still just silence cry that companied her.

Upon reaching home, everything seems to be the same. Except for the ringing tone of the phone. Which pierced into her heart everytime it rang. She does not wish to let the guy know. & not wanting to be a burden to him, she wrote a letter to him saying that she does not wish to wait any longer. With that, she sent the ring back to him. In return, the guy sent millions & millions of reply, and countless of phonecalls,.. all the girl could do, besides crying, is still crying....The parents decided to move away, hoping that she could eventually forget everything & be happy.

With a new environment, the girl learn sign language & started a new life. Telling herself everyday that she must forget the guy. One day, her friend came & told her that he's back. She asked her friend not to let him know what happened to her. Since then, there wasn't anymore news of him.

A year has passed & her friend came with an envelope, containing an invitation card for the guy's wedding. The girl was shattered. When she open the letter, she saw her name in it instead. When she was about to ask her friend what's going on, she saw the guy standing in front of her. He used sign language telling her "I've spent a year's time to learn sign language. Just to let you know that I've not forgotten our promise. Let me have the chance to be your voice. I Love You. With that, he slipped the ring back into her finger. The girl finally smiled.

Get to know urself....!!!!

Do you think you don't know enough about yourself that you have to take a quiz created by God-knows-who to determine who you really are ? Doesn't matter the answer is yes or no, coz you're it!

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education:
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:
You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.

How do you view success:
You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self:
You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Jeram Sanitary Landfill

Sabtu lepas, aku and all my classmates pergi satu field trip yang amat menarik sekali....huhuhu.

Then, kami melawat leachate treatment plant. Since baru je belajar pasal wastewater treatment, paham gak apa yang officer tu cakap.
