Goodbye ol friend~ Leeteuk cries as Boom leaves for army

"Today is a sad day as we all say goodbye to our friend Boom. Boom has provided many laughters for us the past couple years and has been a household name in the world of Korean pop culture. On the 29th of October, Boom enrolled into the army which caused Leeteuk to break out into tears.

Boom enrolled into Choongchun training center as he will receive 5 weeks of basic training. After that he will be serving his country for 22 months to fill up the 2 years mandatory service.

Super Juniors Leeteuk and Eun Hyuk came to send Boom off. On the 26th, he made a sudden announcement that it was his time to serve the country.

Boom told the media that he will "come back well" and that he "was touched as so many people wished him luck."

What makes me a big fan of Boom is that he knows the downs and ups of being a celebrity. He had been unsuccessful early in his career and had many hardships. He was often laughed at by other celebrities as they felt his gags were corny. However, Boom used that corny approach and stuck with who he was and people started accepting and even enjoy his presence. In the height of his popularity, he will be away from the scene for two years. Hopefully, you KPop fans will welcome this brother figure back and embrace him the same way you do now in 2011."

I watched Boom in Idol Show and Star King.... his joke and Ssanti-style really brighten up the show... always sad when korean celebrity had to go MS........ gonna miss him...!!!! variety show won't be the same without him....... but lucky for us, we still have our angel, Teukie....!!!!
